IRMA ABDIHODZIC
Coach
Irma has been coaching boxing sessions for Boxing Sisters in Munich since April 2022. She has been involved in boxing since 2006, when she officially started her professional career — but her road into the sport started long before that.
Before boxing, Irma played basketball for many years and was the captain of her team. Around 2000 she accidentally picked up Tae Bo as extra training to improve her basketball, and that turned out to be the start of her kickboxing journey. In 2005 she won bronze in kickboxing, and in 2006 she took European gold. Just a month after that title, she met her former, current and only boxing coach — and her boxing career began at the end of 2006.
Between 2006 and 2016, Irma became a three-time professional world boxing champion. In Sarajevo she runs her own boxing school, so alongside her competitive experience she brings many years of coaching experience working with children, women and men. Even before her professional career, she always led women's group and individual sessions. Of her 44 years, around 30 have been spent in the world of sport.
